Our Story

The People’s Tuna is a result of a grand brainstorm. You know, the kind with friends over good wine and belly laughs. It was one of those brainstorms where every idea sparked another and eventually ended with “let’s do this for real”. We've traveled all over the world, yet we always return to New England with that amazing feeling of "it's good to be home”. It's the pesky seagulls that roam wildly along the coastline. It's the lighthouses sprinkled all over the tiny islands that float quietly along the Long Island Sound. It's the Blue Point oysters and the craft breweries we have all grown to love. New England. It's hard to truly understand how special it is until you experience it for yourself.

We are artists, jewelers, illustrators, photographers and designers. We love to sail, hike, paddleboard, make bonfires and good memories with the people we love. We enjoy good food and better yet, sharing it with others. We wanted to create a project that would bring awareness to our coastline, but also support some of our amazing and creative friends. We have a long way to go but we are here to share our love of the Northeast, all it has to offer and the people who make it so special.

From the rocky coastlines of Acadia to the soft sands of Cape May, we show our love for the Northeast through our art. We are excited to see where this journey takes us and we hope to make a few friends and create some good stories along the way.

Cheers,
Catina & Jay
